The title, Say It with Flowers, reflects each other's geographical environment and recent history, and puts forward a paradoxical slogan, "Express your heart with flowers," or "There is nothing you can't say through flowers."
In a way, we try to approach creative exchanges and rich contexts that go beyond tough regional characteristics.

이 프로젝트의 제목인 ‘꽃으로 말하라 Say it with Flowers’ 는 양국의 지리적인 환경과 근대사를 반영하며, ‘속마음을 꽃으로 표현하라’ 즉, ‘꽃을 통하여 말할 수 없는 것은 없다.’라는 역설적인 슬로건을 내세운다. 전시, 워크숍, 퍼포먼스, 리서치 등을 수행되는 각 작업의 내러티브, 역사, 지역성과 동시대 예술에 관한 견해를 공유한다. 또한 역사, 인공물, 생명체, 전통, 공동체, 지역적 정체성, 민속에 새로운 전망을 상호 제안하며 세계와의 관계를 재설정한다.

The meories of volcano


Indonesia is the country with the most volcanoes in the world. Yogyakarta is a city located behind Merapi Volcano which one of the most active volcano in Indonesia. Therefore each of its residents has their own memories of the volcano. This workshop was held to share the memories of each own and make bread with the local ingredients about the volcano based on the memories.

화산의 기억


인도네시아는 전세계에서 화산이 가장 많은 국가다. 그중에서도 족자카르타는 가장 활발히 활동화는 활화산 머라피 화산을 등뒤에 두고 위치한 도시로, 거주인들은 저마다 각자의 화산에 관한 기억을 품고 있다. 그 기억들을 나누고, 로컬 재료를 이용해 기억을 토대로 화산에 관한 빵을 만들어 보는 워크샵을 진행하였다.

Ruang Magma


Andeath visited Mt. Merapi and Mt. Bromo on Java Island this time. Based on this research, she attempts to make an installation work using sourdough starter related to volcano. ‘Ruang’ means ‘room’ in Indonesian. Just as magma room exists below a volcano, this magma room is installed in one of the room of the Ruang Mes 56. The starter in the bottle is goint to be fermented gradually then erupt inside and outside of the room through the tubes.

머라피화산과 브로모화산을 방문한 작가는, 이번 리서치를 바탕으로 화산과 관련하여 스타터를 이용한 설치작업을 시도한다. ‘Ruang’은 인도네시아어로 ‘방'이란 뜻으로 화산에도 마그마방이 존재하듯, 루앙메스56의 방 한곳에 마그마 방을 설치한다. 점점 발효되는 스타터는 튜브관을 통해 방의 안과 밖 곳곳에서 분출 될 것이다.
